******Neat vintage 16mm movie. ***THRIFT SHOP FIND**I bought a bunch of 16mm films and will be listing them in the next few weeks*******I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON THIS****It is a WW2 era 16mm Color Kodachrome film, no sound. Date code is "triangle-square" which dates it to 1944. This was taken by a soldier stationed in the CBI Theater during WWll, as I have other films I will be listing taken by the same soldier. Rare footage. Shows some of the architecture, religious buildings and people/places of India at the time. Rare shot of Rupchand Bilaram park (now called Bagh Ibne Qasim), ox carts, people of India working, relaxing, a few seconds of a cricket game, a heavy rain-storm moves in, a few military vehicles, U. S. CBI soldiers outside the Taj Mahal, a DC-3 Gooney Bird flies by the Taj Mahal, Places like "Bombay, Karechi, Dehli, Oklah, Agre, Calcutta, Chebuz, Dibrugarh, and more (I know this because there is an old piece of paper in the film can with these names written on it). On an old "Reflex" (Goldberg?) 10-1/2" reel, probably has about 475 ft. of footage. Fair condition, it played all the way through a projector, but some surface scratching, many crude taped splices, film is upside down for a few seconds in a couple spots due to a bad splice job, red splotches on first part of film, other wear, some brittle film, very light vinegar smell, sold "as-is"..play it at your own risk! ***CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS******Buyer pays shipping.
