    Description

    Awesome set of vintage Bennett Andirons also called fire-dog; used to hold logs in fireplace so air can circulate underneath. Classical style of black wrought iron and polished brass finials with claw feet.
    Measurements are (for each piece):
    24" from front to back
    5 1/4" from front to log holder
    6" opening /width for log
    9 1/4" across front from from claw foot to claw foot
    20" high from floor to top of brass finial
    Approximate wt of each piece is 10 pounds
    +++Please note that I removed the bolt that holds the finial, foot and full length piece together for shipping. Photo number 6 and 7 show the andirons taken apart into 3 pieces each; I used a pliers to undo bolt which you can see in photo I just put back on the screw piece for safe shipping. So all you need to do is fit the 3 pieces together over the screw part and reattach and tighten bolt with a pliers.
