    Description

We are offering 3 Muskogee Cardinals Baseball Club items: a 2-page Pamphlet for their 1949 Canadian Tour; a Letter from the Continental Booking Agency to the Manager of the Baseball Club in Irvine, Alberta, along with a Stamped Envelope.  All items are in connection with the booking of the 1949 Canadian Tour.
    1.)
A Pamphlet for The Muskogee Cardinals Baseball Club Canadian Tour - 1949.
The pamphlet features Richard Werthern, pitcher; Jack McPherson, short stop; Adolph Tuhrman, long distance hitter; and Travis Taylor, catcher.
CONDITION: Excellent, with a vertical fold from having been included in the envelope.
    2.)
Letter from the Continental Booking Agency to the Manager of the Baseball Club in Irvine, Alberta promoting a Canadian tour for the Negro League team, the Muskogee Cardinals.
The booking agency is also promoting another Negro team,
The San  Francisco Sea Lions Baseball Club,
because of their positive impression on the public during their 1948 tour.  They mention two rather unique crowd drawing attractions -
"Little Sammy", the man without feet and hands, batting and catching a baseball; and "Tony" Stone, the outstanding girls baseball player.
Letter also contains 3 options of the division of percentages for the winner and loser of the gross gate take; and declarations of the advertising the agency would provide.
    CONDITION:  Excellent.
    3.)
Envelope from the Continental Booking Agency to the Manager of the Baseball Club, Irvine, Alberta.  CONDITION: Good, with soiling & wear.
