SHOW CAR. CHROMED KIDILLAC.  COMPLETED 1993. TOP OF THE LINE MODEL WITH FACTORY HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS. NO EXPENSE SPARED. TWO TONE CADILLAC PEARL WHITE OVER CADILLACS STUNNING BLUE. THE  BODIES FRONT BUMPER WAS DIPPED IN CHROME.  THE COMPLETE DRIVE TRAIN WAS CHROMED INCLUDING THE FRONT END AND THE ENTIRE CHAIN DRIVE CHASSIS. CHROME STEERING WHEEL. THE FOUR WHEELS ARE ALL CHROMED AS WELL. STUNNING. RARE ORIGINAL GARTON HEAD AND TAIL LIGHT HARDWARE AND LENSES. THE BODY IS FACTORY CUT FOR HEADLIGHTS, HORN AND THE VERY RARE TAIL LIGHTS. Adult Collector owned. All Solid Steel. A Kidillac was a Harley Earl design BEFORE the real Cadillac could have a flat hood. The 1948 through 1956 Cadillac had to have a hump hood to accommodate the motor. The real Cadillac with the hood and fenders being level was not until 1957. Garton showed Harley Earls Design Teams futuristic Kidillac hood design off way before in 1950 at the NY Warldorf Astoria Toy Extravaganza Show on Park Avenue. A Kidillac is different in that a Kidillac can NOT be reproduced in steel as other pedal cars can. This is because it is an amazing stamping out of only ONE piece of very heavy gauge steel with the beautiful anatomically correct seat welded in place. Could be done but the cost would be in the millions, not gonna happen. Kidillac is a very important example of AMERICANA. Presently Kidillacs are very very undervalued, this will change soon, so very rich in Automotive history. Harley Earl was a Great Automobile designer and Kidillac reflects all of that and more with a look 7 years into the future of automotive design. Kidillac did not have the restriction of accommodating a motor so the level hood and fender design was set free then in 1949. The pedal car market, like all markets, has exceptions to every rule and Kidillac proves such. Weighs about 35 pounds. Fantastic Display causes excitement and smiles anywhere.
