    Post WWI USMC China Marine Officer’s Tunic w/ Droopy Wing EGA pair Art Metal.
    This is an inter-war period (1920s / 1930s) US Marine Corps tunic, featuring Art Metal Company buttons and the China Marine ‘droopy wing eagle’ style EGA collar devices.
    Tunic is in very nice condition with no mothing or stains or damage of any significance. In fact I have nothing to note in terms of detractors for condition.
    EGAs are a matched pair featuring the droopy wing eagles and both latitude and longitude lines on the globes. I took one off to show the back, and saw no markings. Both do have a little hook on the back, which pierces the fabric and maintains the correct orientation of the device on the collar. Both are screw back.
    The lower 3 large buttons are all by The Art Metal Company. The top button says Scoville MFG CO WATERBURY on the back. The four smaller buttons on the pockets and shoulder straps are hard to see the back of, but don’t appear to be marked. They very well could have markings, I just don’t want to take them off or risk popping them to find out. All of the buttons and the EGAs have very consistent patina between them, so I would think they’ve all been on this jacket for a very long time.
