Intricate Crochet Squares (15) Ready to Make into Coverlet, Afghan, your choice!

Kat (Katherine) crocheted these beautiful squares back in the 1950's and then stored them in a box in her attic in a cedar trunk carefully labeled in her neat handwriting "Crocheted Squares". She never got back them to finish the project and her daughter and I found them when we were clearing her house to put it on the market this year following her passing.
A couple of the squares could use a soaking to remove some stains from the years of storage but the squares have no bad orders nor are they in bad shape from their storage. The estate sales people tossed them out of the original box so we will wrap these in plastic and ship them in a box to the successful purchaser.
Each square measures 13 1/4" x 13 1/4" and weighs 2 ounces each. I'm a knitter but I can see someone who does any kind of needlework finishing this off as a beautiful bed topper or adding some crochet to the attached pieces and a ruffle on three sides for gorgeous bed spread or even finishing this as a beautiful Victorian afghan for a couch or lounge.
Without  any additions, just connecting the pieces you would end up with a piece that measures almost 40" X 66 1/4". You might consider these as smaller place mats or using them for many craft projects because most of the work has been completed.
The darker looking pieces in photos are the same color as the others, these were shot without the flash in low light. The crocheted pieces are in a natural ecru color.
