    This is one of many items procured by my grandfather during his military world travels.
    The James C Nichols Art Studio in Kalamazoo Michigan assessed it 25-30 years ago and provided the following documentation:
    “Oval rosewood PANEL inlaid with lighter wood, a group of five children attended by elderly sage in low relief, 10x13”; Chinese, early 19th century.”
