Description

Here is an
antique sterling silver sugar tong with British maker's marks. The first set of marks shows the Leopard on shied (London) followed by the Lion Passant, a lower case "m" and the monarch facing right. This would place the tongs around 1827. The opposite arm shows the marker's marks "WC". They measure about 6 inches in length and are attractive but do show some tarnish and light wear.
