    CHINESE QING ANTIQUE PAKTONG BRASS OPIUM WAR DAMPER PIPE BOWL STAND REST
    Beautiful and rare. Two different ancient life scenes were engraved and enameled at each side of the stand, all other flat surfaces were also engraved of different patterns and enameled,"shou" is a Chinese character for longevity which also is a symbol of this specific paste. Bronze trims decorated surrounding the top and bottom edges. It seemed to have its feet removed from the look at the bottom, some of the items of similar style have thin, taller feet with open-work which could not survived through time and were bent or crushed then were removed. And of course some have no feet originally.
    A nice cleanup will definitely bring back the beauty of this rare, artistic bowl stand.

    In very good antique condition with lots of patina, slight wears and scratches from age and use, a tight short split at one corner. Please see photo.
