2007 Kawasaki Z1000

Description

For sale is my 2007 Kawasaki Z1000. I rescued this a year ago from a friend's backyard. He bought the bike new and it sat for approximately seven years. I have since rehab'd the bike but I'm ready to move on to another project. Because it has spent most of its life outside and uncovered, the appearance has suffered some corrosion and UV damage (see pictures). The bike, however, runs like a Swiss watch and has tons of low end torque. The cooling system works as it should and the bike doesn't overheat. Dynamic exhaust works correctly. Adult owned and not hooned. This thing is a blast to ride!
New/Rebuilt Parts:
-Battery
-RK chain
-Coolant
-Fuel level sender (OEM)
-Fuel pump (OEM)
-Fuel tank professionally cleaned and internally coated with POR15
-Front and rear steel braided brake lines (Spiegler)
-Front and rear master cylinders rebuilt
-New front brake pads (Gaffer)
-Grips
-Shorty levers
-LED lighting all around (turn, running, and headlights)
-LED blinker module
-Gear position indicator
-Michelin tires (60% life left)
-Passenger seat
-Screamin' Banshee air horn
-Upgraded gauge cluster. I soldered in red LEDs behind the tach and replaced the polarization tape on the LCD display so the numbers are inverted and easy to read in direct sunlight
Known Issues:
-Valve cover weeps oil slightly. This is a common problem with these but it's not bad enough to warrant replacement.
-UV/corrosion damage. Hand controls are faded, rear fender has damaged clear coat (see pictures), rear wheel is pitted with corrosion, some screw heads have surface rust. Overall appearance is 6/10. The stickers aren't hiding any damage. Paint is in surprisingly good shape. The bike is a solid ten footer
Clear title in hand. Registration good for another year. QuadLock phone mount and Chubby Buttons remote NOT included unless you add 0 to the price. I will leave the USB power jack on the handlebars.
