This is a 1998 Kawasaki KE100 two stroke oil injected dual sport motorcycle with a CLEAN NC TITLE. This specimen is in great condition and has been well taken care. Everything works as it should. Brand new sealed 6V battery, new 6V horn, recently rebuilt front forks with 20WT oil for a smoother ride. Tires have good tread. I bought this bike at 200 miles and have treated it with care since I have owned it. Cosmetically this bike is in great condition aside from some minor paint fade on the front and rear plastic fender. These have merely faded over time and is not indicative of neglect, especially when compared to the fuel tank, which is in mint condition. This bike shifts through the gears fine. The engine has seen Lucas engine oil, EthanolShield 2 stroke oil, ethanol free fuel, and EthanolShield fuel additive since I have owned it. I have taken this thing all over when I do take it out and have never had any issues with it. It kicks over reliably, shifts smoothly, has a classic two stroke power band, and is fun to ride. Comfortable cruising speed will be around 55mph, but there’s plenty of power reserved at that speed for overtaking. Obviously these claims are rider, passenger and luggage dependent. Included with this sale is a 2001 Kawasaki KE100 PARTS BIKE with a NON WORKING engine and CLEAN NC TITLE. JKAKETB101C053387. It was involved in a low speed single track off road lay down, as is obvious in the photos. The front headlight and cluster is broken, and fuel tank is dented, but front fender and forks are not damaged and frame appears to be straight when pushing this bike around by hand. Rear swing arm appears to be fully intact and straight as well, when pushing the bike around by hand. The engine is being sold as NON WORKING with no further details or guidance on rebuilding. These bikes and engines are easy to work on. Routine maintenance such as clutch plates, springs, air filter, spark plugs, fork rebuilds and seals are assessable and easy to perform as well. These engines and parts are generally readily available on eBay, including new headlight and cluster with key, so this would be a somewhat plug and play, straight forward and easy project for the right person. Includes two sets of spare front forks, a case of EthanolShield 2 stroke oil, and fuel additive.
