1980 Kawasaki 250 LTD

Description

Up for auction is a nicely preserved 1980 Kawasaki KZ250 LTD, which I purchased from the original owner.  A few weeks ago the
carb was removed and disassembled by a senior/expert Kawasaki technician.  The housing was soda-blasted and the carb was then re-assembled using all new genuine Kawasaki parts.  The forks were completely disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with new fork seals and oil.  The brakes were inspected and adjusted for proper operation.  A new battery and spark plug were added, and the timing and points were adjusted.
Once re-assembled, the carb was dialed in and the bike starts, idles, runs, and stops without any issues.
All of the lights, turn signals, gauges, etc work like they should.  The tires, tubes, and rim strips were replaced with fresh, period-correct-looking components and have less than 10 miles on them.
I have only used premium non-ethanol fuel in the bike since the carb work was completed to eliminate any ethanol-related fuel issues.  The bike needs nothing other than a new owner to enjoy it.
The original red paint is in beautiful condition and shines like new.  The side covers look new and all of the mounting tabs are intact.  The inside of the gas tank was cleaned and is rust-free, but there is some very minor surface rust just under the gas cap.  The original seat is in very good condition.  The chrome on the fenders and exhaust is shiny and also looks nearly new.  Overall, the bike is in phenomenal original condition for being 40+ years old and always receives favorable comments.
The bike was stored indoors its entire life, which certainly contributes to its overall nicety at the present time.  Please review the photos closely to further verify the fine condition of this vintage bike.
The bike is located in Fredericksburg, VA 22405, and as usual is being sold "as is, where is, with no warranty".  The bike has a clear Virginia title in my name.  An original owner's manual and a Kawasaki Service Manual are also included in the sale.
Shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the winning bidder, but I will be available to assist the shipper with loading the bike almost anytime during the week or on the weekend.  Depending on the location of the winning bidder, I may be able to provide enclosed delivery service for an additional fee that would probably be cheaper and much quicker than having it shipped.  Prospective bidders can contact me for delivery availability and cost.
A 0 deposit via PayPal is due within 24 hours of the auction end, and full payment is expected within 7 days unless other arrangements have been made.  PayPal can be used for the entire sale price provided that the buyer also pays the 2.9% PayPal fee.
