    Description

    1975 Kawasaki H2C 750 MK IV
"They are only original once" and this represents a nearly 100% original example.  Finished in a bright Candy Super Red, the rarest color in 1975
Originally purchased in 1975 at Speedrome Motors in Chemug. NY. Frame Number H2F 45639 and Engine Number H2E 45970 indicates it was produced near mid-year 1975. As some of you may know, 1975 was the last and lowest production year (only about 5,000 produced worldwide in 1975) for the mighty "widowmaker".  Fewer than 50,000 H2 750's were ever made worldwide from 1972-1975.  How many still exist like this one? My somewhat educated guess is very very few.  This bike will fit right in to a true Kawasaki Collectors stable, no doubt and be a source of pride and much conversation as this one has had already!
I originally purchased the bike (I'm the 3rd Owner) with the intent to do a full restoration but after looking at it for quite sometime and performing some research I took the alternate route to preserve its originality as much as possible.  It's got that "Patina thing" almost to perfection. This bike is just too original to make into a trailer queen show bike as most are a now. Over the past 3 or 4 years, I chased down the few parts needed to bring it to 100% original and those parts are included with the bike. The tank has some small scratches and two dents which the pictures did not capture well.  The tail section has three large chips of paint missing. The pipes are rock solid with a few pings and small scratches but retain their original gleam, other chrome on the bike is really very nice, pretty amazing for a 47 year old example of originality. Underside looks as good as top side :)
The bike has new Dunlop Gold Star tires, tubes, the oil pump and lines have been rebuilt and function properly and we put a new OEM seat cover on her. As you may know, from about 3000 RPM until you decide to let up, it pulls like a freight train right up to the red-line.  Nothing sounds (or performs) quite like this two stroke beast under power with 90MM of Mikuni Carbs pouring in the gas
Please make certain you have it pointed straight when you decide to jump on it, they are not known for their cornering prowess at high speeds and it will certainly outrun both the headlights and the brakes.  On its first shakedown cruise some time ago, I pegged the throttle from 2nd-4th and we were at 100MPH pretty quickly. I did that once, that was quite enough (LOL)  Runs as good as she looks, no disappointments. I put some fresh gas in it today before posting this listing and a one spritz of starting fluid, two kicks and I smoked my neighborhood out :) Took her around the block and had some second thoughts....
She usually starts on the third kick with half choke, I've got her running a bit rich with idle set at about 1500 but no issues with fouling at the current carburetor and idle settings, it pulls strong from idle on up, As you know these things are not meant to idle, they like it best when you twist the throttle.  It currently has a pringle petcock which is much better than the original, just don not forget to shut it off when you park it
The sale includes two original petcocks and a rebuild kit should you decide to "go original" An original tool-kit (without the original bag) but to my knowledge all the tools that came with it from the factory.  Original air-box, snorkel, clamps and everything that is needed to bring that back to stock should you decide to do so.  One set of original Kawasaki mirrors and one proper set of NOS Kawasaki Grips (LH and RH...real rubber) as you may know, these grips are VERY HARD to find, but I (eventually) found them in new condition  A new set of clutch plates are included, not needed at this time but nice to have. A few other nice parts, additional clamps and bolts which are always nice to have around.
The reserve is quite fair for a bike of this quality, we will see if it meets or exceeds it and she finds a a new home, if not oh well, that is obviously my sign I need to keep it and ride it some more (at low speeds)  :)..OK..... maybe a little FAST
Good luck and thanks for looking  5 gears up and all the power you have the guts for...Kawasaki knows how to go FAST
