This 1968 Mercury Montego MX is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.

Vehicle Details
This is a very original survivor type car that runs great and gets constant attention on the road. It has magnum 500 wheels with Mercury center caps in great condition, and brand new tires. All lights work. The power top functions properly. The turn signals work. The wipers work. The horn works. The original dash has no cracks The front carpet is worn through under the (original?) floor mat on the front passenger side and the zipper is broken for the back window (which unzips out). The rear window itself is glass and is fine. There is a tear in the driver’s seating area (mended with black tape). I do have original vinyl material to repair it. The paint may be original (Saxony Yellow) and looks beautiful but on close inspection does have some crazing on the trunk and hood. The body of the car is straight and appears rust free except for a bubble under the paint low on the passenger side quarter ahead of the rear wheel (see picture). The doors, hood, and trunk lid are excellent. It has a nice newer dual exhaust system and sounds great. The heater has been bypassed. The floors and trunk seem to be in great condition. The original spare tire is present and holds air. I also have an extra fifth new tire which is mounted on an original wheel to serve as a practical spare. There is some rust underneath the car- see pictures. The actual mileage is not known, but I do know this car was in climate controlled storage for many, many years. It has a clear Florida title in my name. This is a beautiful and rare car that receives constant compliments every time out of the garage. Please see the walk around video here:
